Schedule 4: Pension & Provident Funds on dismissal, resignation or retrenchment from employment

Schedule 4 captures income and expenses incurred from a refund received from a pension and/or provident fund on dismissal, resignation or retrenchment from employment, cessation of fund or withdrawal from a preservation fund.

Income

• Total refund amount received from pension and provident fund;
• Total preservation fund withdrawal amount.

Expenses

• Reinvestment of whole or part of refund received in an approved pension and provident fund;
• Reinvestment of whole or part of refund received in an approved preservation fund.

ITAS Attachment(s)

• The following attachments (additional information) is required, when submitting taxes via the Integrated Tax Assessment System (ITAS):

• Certificate issued by the institution reflecting the details of the amount paid or received from a pension and provident fund;
• Certificate issued by the institution reflecting the withdrawal amount from a preservation fund.
