As the public is aware, the Namibia Revenue Agency (NAMRA), commenced operations on 7 April 2021, absorbing the functions that were previously performed by the Ministry of Finance’s Inland Revenue Department and the Directorate of Customs and Excise.
This effectively means that NamRA is now entrusted with the issuance of key documents linked to the tax administration process such as the Taxpayer Registration Certificate and the Good Standing Certificate.
To this end, revised Certificates bearing NamRA’s logo have been issued to taxpayers from 2 September 2021 and will continue until Thursday 30 September 2021 (issuance period).
